Darren Entwistle

Chair of the Board

Darren Entwistle was elected to the Board of Directors on May 20, 2022 and serves as Chair of the Board. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for TELUS Corporation. Mr. Entwistle has been President and CEO of TELUS since 2000 and, alongside the leadership team, he has guided TELUS’ evolution from a regional telephone company into a global data and wireless leader. Under Mr. Entwistle’s stewardship, the TELUS team has consistently generated operational and financial results that are world leading, establishing a track record of driving global-best outcomes for its customers, communities and shareholders. Mr. Entwistle is a founding member of both the 30% Club Canada and the Canadian Board Diversity Council, and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Conservatory. In recognition of Mr. Entwistle’s contributions to Canada, he was appointed to the Order of Canada. Similarly, in 2003 he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal and in 2012 he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Mr. Entwistle holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honors) from Concordia University in Montreal, an MBA (Finance) from McGill University and a Diploma in Network Engineering from the University of Toronto. He has also received Honorary Doctorates of Law from McGill University, Concordia University, the University of Alberta and the University of Victoria, and has an Honorary Degree in Business Administration from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Lead Director of the Board, Chair of the HR Committee

Josh Blair was elected to the board of directors on June 1, 2016 and serves as Lead Director of the Board and Chair of the Human Resources Committee. Mr. Blair is a Co-Founder and the CEO of Impro.AI, a high-tech company that enables corporations and their employees to accelerate their growth through AI-powered workforce insights and performance mentoring. He serves as the Chair at Straive, a global data solutions leader supporting sectors such as Education and Research. Additionally, Mr. Blair is a Partner at Esplanade Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on the health technology market. From 1995 through 2019, Mr. Blair served in increasingly senior leadership roles at TELUS Corporation, including as Group President from 2014 to 2019, overseeing TELUS Digital, TELUS Health, TELUS Business, TELUS Agriculture and TELUS Ventures. Mr. Blair holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Victoria and also completed the Executive Program at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. In 2021, Mr. Blair received an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Victoria in recognition of his career achievements as well as his community contributions.

Olin Anton

Director of the Board, Chair of the Audit Committee

Olin Anton joined the board of directors on January 19, 2021 and serves as Chair of the Audit Committee. Mr. Anton, who is now retired, spent his career in professional practice as a Chartered Accountant and laterally as a Chartered Professional Accountant, CA. He was previously a partner at Deloitte LLP from 2002 to 2016, where he served as head of the British Columbia audit practice starting in 2013, managing partner of the Vancouver office from 2012 to 2013 and head of the Vancouver audit function from 2004 to 2012. Mr. Anton retired from Deloitte LLP in 2016. Mr. Anton began his career at Arthur Andersen LLP, where he joined in 1976, became a partner in 1988 and served as head of its audit practice until 2002, when he joined Deloitte LLP. Mr. Anton holds Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Saskatchewan. He is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant and a U.S. Certified Public Accountant.

Doug French

Doug French

Director of the Board

Doug French was elected to the board of directors on September 23, 2020. Since 1996, Mr. French has held increasingly senior roles at TELUS, culminating in his appointment as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer in May 2016. Mr. French leads a team of 1,200 professionals responsible for financial operations, reporting and analysis, treasury, investor relations, risk management, revenue assurance, taxation, investment management, corporate strategy and development, sustainability and procurement. He is the Global Executive Sponsor of Spectrum, the TELUS resource group for LGBTQ2+ team members. Mr. French began his career as a Chartered Professional Accountant at Ernst and Young, before joining Clearnet, a predecessor company to TELUS. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors), Commerce and Economics from the University of Toronto. Mr. French was appointed Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in 2017.

Sue Paish

Director of the Board, HR Committee

Sue Paish was elected to the board of directors on May 2, 2021 and is a member of the Human Resources Committee. Ms. Paish is a Corporate Director and is currently Chief Executive Officer of Digital Innovation Cluster, a position she has held since 2018. She is a member of the board of directors and Management Resources and Compensation Committee for Canadian Tire Corporation (TSX: CTC.A) and Chair of the board for the CORIX Group of Companies and serves on their Human Resources and Business Planning and Growth Committees. Ms. Paish is also a member of the board for Northland Properties and Own the Podium. She served as Corporate Director and then as President and CEO of LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services from 2008 to 2017 and also as Corporate Director and CEO of Pharmasave Drugs (National) Ltd. from 2004 until 2012. Ms. Paish has previously also served as Managing Partner of the law firm, Fasken, from 2000 to 2006 and practiced law at the firm from 1983 to 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from The University of British Columbia.

Sandra Stuart was elected to the board of directors on September 25, 2021 and is the Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. She currently also serves as a director and member of the Environment, Health and Safety Committee and the Governance and Sustainability Committee for both Canfor Corporation (TSX: CFP) and Canfor Pulp (TSX: CFX), as a Trustee and Chair of the Audit Committee for DRI Healthcare Trust (TSX: DHT.UN/DHT.U) and as a director for the Bank of Nova Scotia (TSX: BNS), serving on their Audit & Conduct Review Committee and Risk Committee. Ms. Stuart previously served in increasingly senior leadership roles at HSBC Canada beginning in 2010, including as Chief Executive Officer from 2015 to 2020 and as Chief Operating Officer from 2010 to 2015. Ms. Stuart holds a Bachelor of Business and Economics degree from Simon Fraser University and has completed numerous executive management courses through Harvard Business School and IMD International Business School.

Executive Vice Chair of the Board

Jeff Puritt was appointed as Executive Vice Chair of the board of directors on September 3, 2024 and is responsible for the company’s corporate development activities, given his expertise in mergers and acquisitions, and continues to provide support for the government and investor relations functions. Mr. Puritt played a pivotal role in leading and shaping the business of TELUS Digital (formerly TELUS International), an organization he led as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer from 2008 to 2024. Jeff joined TELUS in 2001, undertaking progressively senior positions in a variety of areas including, Finance and Accounting, New Product and Service Development, IP applications business development, Ventures, and Mergers and Acquisitions. Prior to joining TELUS, Jeff was the Vice President, Corporate Development and General Counsel at Daedalian eSolutions. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University and his Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. Over the past 16+ years, Jeff helped to drive the company’s growth from a single contact center in Manila with just a couple thousand team members to a leading digital customer experience innovator with more than 75,000 highly talented and engaged team members from sites in 32 countries located across five continents. In 2021, Jeff led TELUS International’s successful debut in the public markets, dual-listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), and the company remains the largest tech IPO in TSX history. Jeff’s passion for supporting local causes in the communities where the company operates around the world is apparent in his consistent participation at TELUS Days of Giving events for more than 20 years, where he volunteers shoulder-to-shoulder with team members and their families. Mr. Puritt currently serves on the board of directors for AGS Health, an analytics driven, technology enabled Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) company that provides medical billing, medical coding and business analytics services to leading healthcare providers across the U.S. and he is also a founding member of the Canada-ASEAN Business Council (CABC). From 2011 to 2016, Mr. Puritt served as the Honorary Chair for REACH, a not-for-profit organization that has pioneered the integration of youth with disabilities into the mainstream of society – a cause very close to his heart.

Madhuri Andrews joined the board of directors on March 9, 2023 and is a member of the Audit Committee and the Governance and Nominating Committee. Ms. Andrews is currently the Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer with MKS Instruments (NASDAQ: MKSI). Previously, Ms. Andrews was an Executive Vice President with Jacobs (NYSE: J), which she joined in 2018 as the Chief Digital and Information Officer. Prior to that, Ms. Andrews held roles as the CIO for Dyncorp International, CIO, VP, Information Technology for Trinity Industries (NYSE: TRN) and Executive Director, Information Technology for STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM) and Maxim Integrated Products (now NYSE: ADI). She also currently serves as a Director with Applied Industrial Technologies (NYSE: AIT) on their Audit, Governance and Sustainability Committees and is a board member and strategic advisor to a group of private equity companies, chairing their Technology, Digital and Sustainability committees. Ms. Andrews holds an Executive Business Management Certificate from the University of Texas, Bachelor of Science degrees in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from Northrop University in Los Angeles, California.

Navin Arora joined the board of directors on January 5, 2023 and is a member of the Governance and Nominating Committee. He joined TELUS in 1999 and currently holds the position of Executive Vice-President, TELUS, and President, TELUS Business Solutions, TELUS Health, TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods and TELUS Partner Solutions, leading TELUS’ national business-to-business portfolio for all Public Sector, Enterprise, Large, and Small & Medium Business, as well as TELUS Partner Solutions, GoCo and several B2B acquisitions. Since joining TELUS in 1999, Mr. Arora has held senior leadership roles with increasing responsibility across various parts of the organization. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of TELUS’ Calgary Community board and as a member of the boards of Calgary Economic Development, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Western Executive Council and the Sandbox Project. He is also a member of the Business Council of Alberta. Mr. Arora holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.

Tony Geheran was elected to the board of directors on May 13, 2020 and was the chair of our Governance and Nominating Committee from 2020 to 2024. He previously held increasingly senior leadership roles at TELUS Corporation, beginning in 2001, including Senior Vice-President from 2013 to 2015, Executive Vice-President and President of Broadband Networks from 2015 to 2018, Executive Vice-President and Chief Customer Officer from 2018 to 2021 and Executive Vice-President and Chief Operations Officer from 2021 to 2024. Prior to joining TELUS, Mr. Geheran worked at Cable and Wireless Ireland and Cable and Wireless Communications. He holds a Diploma in Professional Marketing from the Cranfield School of Management, a Certificate in Business Administration from The Open University and received his Professional Qualifications in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering while serving in the Royal Navy.

Carolyn Slaski

Carolyn Slaski was elected to the board of directors on July 2, 2021 and is a member of both the Audit and Human Resources Committees. She also currently serves on the Board of Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR) and is a member of their Audit Committee. Prior to her retirement from EY LLP in 2021, Ms. Slaski served as the Americas and US Vice-Chair of Talent from 2015 to 2021. Previously, Ms. Slaski was a Senior Audit Partner from 1984-2021 and, during that time, also served as the East Region Assurance Managing Partner from 2013 to 2015 and as the New Jersey Office Managing Partner and Market Segment Leader from 2010-2013. Ms Slaski holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Honors) from Rutgers University, a Certified Public Accountant certification and has completed EY’s Strategic Leadership Program at Harvard University.

Jason Macdonnell was appointed as Acting CEO, COO and President, Customer Experience on September 3, 2024. Over more than two decades, he held a number of senior leadership roles at TELUS. Most recently, he led the operations for TELUS Consumer Solutions and TELUS Health Solutions and, previously, he was the President of TELUS Security and Automation. Prior to joining TELUS, Mr. Macdonnell worked at Boston Consulting Group, consulting with Fortune 500 companies on strategic projects across major industry sectors, including: consumer goods, food and beverage, financial services, manufacturing and technology. He was previously named one of British Columbia’s Top Forty Under 40 and has been a strong advocate for education, leadership and career development. He spent over a decade teaching youth and adults how to sail and was a guest lecturer at Belarus Economic State University and the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business. He previously served as the executive sponsor of the TELUS MBA program in partnership with the University of Victoria’s Gustavson School of Business and is currently a director on the board of British Columbia Technology Industry Association. Mr. Macdonnell holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and an MBA with Distinction from Ivey Business School at Western University.

Gopi Chande has served as our Chief Financial Officer since March 4, 2024. Prior to joining TELUS Digital, Ms. Chande spent 14 years with TELUS Corporation, in increasingly senior leadership roles, including as Senior Vice-President Finance and Treasurer from May 2022 to Feb 2024. During her tenure with TELUS, Ms. Chande managed a comprehensive portfolio covering treasury, corporate development, investor relations, pensions and sustainability and oversaw a number of substantial financial initiatives. Ms. Chande was at KPMG from 1996 to 2009, working in Vancouver, Budapest and the Silicon Valley and was the Controller at multinational tech startup, E2open from 2002 to 2005. She has strong governance experience as a previous Board Member of Telecommunication Workers Pension Plan, Concert Properties and Canarie. Ms. Chande earned her CPA, CA (Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant) designation with Gold Medal distinction, and was elected a Fellow in 2022 (FCPA). She is also a certified accountant in the US (CPA Illinois). Ms. Chande is passionate about connecting with the community, and serves as chair of the Board of Mulgrave Independent School, and as Board member of the BC Women’s Hospital Foundation. A purpose-driven leader, Ms. Chande is a mentor to many at TELUS, as well as through the Professional Women’s Network for the Dress for Success Organization.

Monty Hamilton has been the Chief Product & Marketing Officer at TELUS Digital since 2024. Prior to this role, he served as Senior Vice President since June 2022, leading growth in strategic industries globally, including the Communications & Media sector. Before joining TELUS Digital, Mr. Hamilton served as Chief Digital Officer at TELUS, where he spearheaded a major transformation towards humanized digital experiences. He brings over 25 years of experience in driving digital transformation globally, particularly in telecommunications and financial services. Mr. Hamilton has held significant leadership roles including as a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Head of Digital at Telstra, co-founder of UBank, Head of Online at National Australia Bank and as a co-founder of Belong, Telstra's direct mobile and home internet business. Mr. Hamilton studied at Stanford Graduate School of Business, The Australian Institute of Management and The Geelong College.

Michael Ringman has served as our Chief Information Officer since 2012. Prior to joining us, he served as Vice President of Global Infrastructure of TeleTech Holdings Inc. from 2004 to 2012 and as its Director Converged Communications from 2002 to 2004. Prior to his time at TeleTech Holdings Inc., he was a Network Consultant at IBM Global Services from 1996 to 2000. Mr. Ringman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science and a Masters of Sciences in Telecommunications degree from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Tobias Dengel joined us in January 2023, when WillowTree was acquired by TELUS Digital. WillowTree unifies the often disparate disciplines of strategy, design and engineering to partner with clients to meet their most ambitious digital transformation goals. Mr. Dengel is the author of the Wall Street Journal best seller Sound of the Future about the impending age of voice powered AI. He started his career in digital media at AOL, holding a variety of leadership roles, including General Manager of AOL Local and Vice President of AOL International, based in London. Following AOL and prior to co-founding WillowTree in 2009, Mr. Dengel co-founded Leads.com, a search agency that was acquired by Web.com. Mr. Dengel holds a BSE in Finance (Wharton) and a BSE in Systems Engineering, both from the University of Pennsylvania. He also serves as the Chair of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation Board, which manages Monticello in Charlottesville, as well as on the Board of WillowTree.

Michel Belec has served as our Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary since 2017. He also supports our Governance Office and is principally responsible for our privacy functions worldwide. Prior to joining us, he served as Senior Vice President, Legal Services of TELUS and prior to 1996 worked with Rogers Communications, Inc. Mr. Belec began his career as an associate at Fasken Martineau. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. Mr. Belec has completed various executive training programs and hosted numerous induction and learning programs both in and outside of TELUS Digital.

Leading a talented global team of experts, Brian Hannon is entrusted with executing the company's growth strategy across its AI-fueled digital customer experience, trust and safety and AI Data Solutions businesses. Mr. Hannon spent eight years with TELUS Digital before assuming the role of Chief Growth Officer in April 2024. Throughout that time, he undertook progressively senior roles, dedicating himself to developing competitive strategy, integrating and transforming organizations, establishing and fostering strong relationships with clients, securing new clients and building highly successful and engaged teams. Prior to joining TELUS Digital, Mr. Hannon served as the Chief Commercial Officer at Voxpro, a customer service, technical support and sales operations solutions firm focused on providing customer experience solutions to the world’s most disruptive companies. TELUS Digital acquired a majority stake in Voxpro in 2017 and purchased the remaining interest in December 2019, at which time Mr. Hannon undertook an expanded mandate leading global sales for TELUS Digital’s fast-growing technology vertical and serving as the company’s Interim Executive Commercial Lead. Based in Dublin, Ireland, Mr. Hannon holds two MBAs having graduated from the EMBA Global Program with Columbia University (New York) and London Business School (UK) and a Masters in Business Studies (Marketing Management) from University College Dublin (Ireland).

Marilyn Tyfting began her tenure as Chief Human Resources Officer in 2024 having previously served as Chief Corporate Officer since 2015 and, from 2007 to 2015, as Vice President of Human Resources for TELUS and TELUS International. She served as Vice President, Human Resources of Rogers Communications Inc. from 2003 to 2007, and held a variety of human resources leadership roles within Rogers from 1997 to 2003. She is currently the Vice-Chair of TELUS Vancouver Community Board and a member of the Presidents Group for accessible employment. Ms. Tyfting holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Science in Business Administration degrees from the University of British Columbia.
